- Welcome to the 22nd Annual Sacred Heart
Booster Club Baseball Tournament
- Age cutoff will be May 1st.
- Tournament headquarters will be located between Fields
4 and 6.
- A pre-game coin flip will decide home team. The home
team will keep the official scorebook and run the scoreboard. The home team
must return scoring and pitching forms to tournament headquarters so the
game can be posted.
- Home team supplies two quality baseballs, which will
be returned after the game.
- The pitching limit is six innings per day. Teams in
violation will forfeit games (one pitch = one inning). Forfeit score will
be 6-0.
- Teams may bat entire line-up with the extra hitters
used as defensive replacements at any time. If a team chooses to bat less,
one re-entry is allowed, but replacement must bat in the same position in
the batting order.
- Six-inning games. No new inning begins after 90
minutes. No time limit for championship games on Sunday.
- Fifteen-run rule applies after three innings. Ten-run
rule applies after four innings (including championship games.)
- MODIFIED RULES FOR 9-UNDER DIVISION ONLY: Six run
maximum per inning for the first five innings, only the 6th
inning is open. Runners can lead off third base, but not steal home or
score on a passed ball. Runners may score from third if played on, (ie,
ball in the air). A dropped third strike is an out in the nine-year-old
division.
- No infield practice prior to game.
- If a game is tied during pool play, it will be
declared a tie. Pool play winners will be determined by runs allowed , runs
scored (maximum 15 runs per game), then a coin flip (in the event of a three way tie). Head-to-head
competition for two-way ties.
- Coaches, please have your lineup card ready 15 minutes
before game time.
- A full concession stand will be available, including
grilled hot dogs and hamburgers.
- Umpires’ decisions are final. Any abuse by coaches,
fans or players directed toward umpires or the opposition may result in
ejection from Bill Burke Park.
